The School of Dramatic Arts and the Zoom Transition

April 30, 2020 by Eduoard Dubourdeaux Leave a Comment

As schools across the nation announced transitions to online class formats and students were told not to return to campuses, the USC School of Dramatic Arts student base held out some hope. At the moment, it seemed that USC was only doing one to two weeks of online classes. Arts students, especially dance and theatre ones, were utterly crushed by the abrupt change in format. … [Read more...] about The School of Dramatic Arts and the Zoom Transition

Othello Review

Midsummer Night’s Dream Review

However, the BFA junior class managed to find some semblance of success amidst the numerous difficulties associated with the script. With excellent … [Read more...] about Camino Real Review

SDA Preview: The Shakespeares

March 15, 2020 by Eduoard Dubourdeaux Leave a Comment

The School of Dramatic Arts has quite an undertaking this semester in the form of three very different Shakespeare plays: A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Othello, and A Winter’s Tale. The first a comedy, the second a tragedy, and the third somewhere in between, these plays offer quite a range of the Poet’s work and life. Each play comes with its individual challenges and benefits, … [Read more...] about SDA Preview: The Shakespeares
